Educational Websites

As an Elementary Education major going after my Early Childhood Education endorsement, I'm always looking for great resources that can be used with young kids.  These websites are excellent examples!

  • Making Learning Fun
    • This site is filled with educational printables and activities for the children from pre-kindergarten through first grade students.
  • Gryphon House
    •  Gryphon House is known for publishing all kinds of books for early childhood education, but their website also features lots of free activities for kids in a variety of subjects.
  • Bright Ring
    • Fun free art activities to boost creativity.
  • Zero to Three
    • The nation's leading resource on the first three years of life, full of information on child development.
  • Sharon MacDonald
    • Activities for various centers around a classroom, which change every month.
  • Early Childhood
    • Information, products, and ideas for parents, teachers, and caregivers.
  • Literacy Center
    • Literacy activities that can either be played online or printed out, in English, Spanish, French, and German.
  • Preschool Rainbow
    • Links to web sites packed with curriculum information and resources for preschool teachers. Plus, fun learning places to visit for parents and kids.

  1. Julia, I really like your blog background and color choices! They are not to bright yet add such a nice touch to your blog. I like how you had a variety of sites centered on various people and things, such as for teachers, reading, activities/worksheets/etc.

  2. I really like your layout because it is really organized and easy to follow/read. I did not know how to format it like this because I have never used blogger before.

  3. Julia,

I like how you designed your format for your websites. How you put the name of the website and the link above what the website is about. It makes it much easier to read/understand.
